Difference Between Squadron White & Squadron Green Putty

I stopped using it. It just isn't fine enough.

I use Tamiya and Bondo.

One of the gripes against Squadron Green is that it takes extra primer and/or paint to cover the dark color. White (colorless) putty requires less paint to cover.

 

 

It also seems to be slightly finer-grained. Not sure whether that's a tech spec, or just something I got into my head.

But I love it---pretty much the only putty I use.

 

Me too, sort of. I've been under the impression that the white is finer, but not sure where I got that info. For a solvent based putty, I prefer Tamiya even though the Squardron white seems to work ok, but that's beyond the scope of what you asked.

The white version sands better and both melts plastic If strongly applied.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I belive the Squadron White putty is said to be fast drying too.
