For great tools this is one of the best stores in Canada.

With the exchage rate maybe some of you may want to check both these out. (the exchage is close to 25-30%)

Don Stauffer

I've done business with them several times online.  I do have a son in Chicago that we visit periodically, but I hate driving in Chicago, so I'll stay as an online customer :-(

Well they are not really in The City as in downtown. More like your average residential outskirts. Have a call coming up nearby so may swing in and have a look. Yelp reviews if reliable are legion and it seems they all love wandering around the place. The photos of the inside are a riot to skim through.

I used to go to their store in Chicago when I was a kid.It was then called American Science Center. That was a really strange place. It had old military walki-talkies, test equipment with all kinds of dials and meters, gas masks, helmets, goggles, gloves, vaccuum tubes. You could spend an entire day in their just looking at "stuff". I'm glad that it is still around.

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

ManCityFan

Thanks for posting the link.  Checked it out while at work (shhhh), and will definitely be ordering from them.  You are right, the item descriptions are rather fun.  Big Smile

I know. That's what got me bouncing around the site. The place I drove by might have been more office or distribution but it seems the main store is also nearby. I might drop in some time.

I drove past one of their places the other day and never noticed it before so I checked them out online. It looks like they have tons of stuff that modelers could use but mostly I loved their fun website and the amount of work they put into describing each and every two buck item.

Files, dental picks, tiny saws, micro clamps, jars, micro bottle brushes...........
