Here is a way I fasten a vise to my bench. The bench top is two 3/8 inch panels of particle board seperated by 1 x 2 edges and internal ribs. I left out a section in the front to jam in a block of wood. The vise is then mounted to the block. This makes it removable so I have a rigid vise but removable to not obscure front of bench.

Hi;
I looked at all of them . I went for the one in Micro-Mark . Smaller jaw head as to length . Works great as I have a Tempered Glass Panel on my workbench . T.B.
I believe Model Expo has small vices.
Micromark has some really cool stuff but a bit on the pricey side. Their punches are the best and a must to have but other things like this vise from Harbor Freight is cheaper and does the job for less $. I bought mine on sale a while back for $8 or $9:

Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!

Have had the great fortune to be on every side of the howitzers.
Howdy, looking for a small hobby vise with rubber jaws. I can only find the big metal ones or ones like the panavise which is too big for what I need.
