It's just that. It's really thin compared to the reg Tamiys cement. it's like the difference between the reg (watery CA) and the Medium stuff. The only disadvantage is that it evaporates faster than the regular stuff.

Just as Matt said, the extra thin cement evaporates much quicker. I actually don't even use it that much, as I find the Tamiya regular cement dries fast enough as it is.

It runs down the seams well though! Which is why I like it.

I tried it but didn't like it. Didn't seem to have any holding power. Did anyone else
have this experience?

Not really. I find that it holds parts together really well within a few minutes. Since the stuff dries so quickly, perhaps you were using it on a really large piece, and the glue partly dried before you joined them? It also works best in small amounts. Too much, and it looses grip I find.

My only bad experience with the stuff is that I knocked the jar over. Luckly nothing critical got wet (just the old T-Shirt and pants I was wearing, and my chest), and I had to stop working for a bit to let my cutting board dry out. Oh and it stunk to high heaven...

I should buy another bottle of the stuff soon...
