My wife works at sally's she is always bringing me cool stuff to try. She's also brought me home a old tweezer display that's perfect for holding all my tweezers (imagine that lol) and other small things like pin vice and small precision scissors.

You are a lucky man, Clint! You should post a pic of the display. I'd like to see it.

Hey KC, thanks for the "tips!" Hehe.

That is awesome! You are saving me from being disappointed and maybe not finding the better solution. Seriously, thanks for saying. I will try a Dollar General. Hopefully, I can find one. They have been closing up around here.

Other hobby related Sally's items. Pointed Qtips, cosmetic sponges for weathering, clear acrylic nail kit for small windows.

Pointed Qtips? I've often wished I had something like that. I need to get some.

Wal-Mart, CVS, Wallgreens, Dollar General store all carry them in the beatuy dept. One thing though, not all of them are equal.

The ones in the Dollar General store are much stronger and keep their shape longer. The Q-tips Precision Tips that most other stores carry lose their shape fast, so fast that I just used tham like a regular Q-tip, I don't buy those any more

I need to live where you do. They are $ 3 at CVS. I like them because you can cut them up to make square ends, points, etc.

Looks to me there are a few Sally's around you, Bill.

I love it when the boss wants to go to Sally. I always buy more sanding stuff I don't really need.

Another hot item (to me) there are the 3-way sanding sticks. The White/grey/black ones. They are about 1/5 of the price of the hobby ones.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

You're right, the beauty supply sanding sticks are every bit as good at half to a third of the hobby sticks. Another great source of sanding supplies is an automotive paint store. They carry wet & dry sandpaper in extremely fine grades and my personal favorites, foam backed washable sanding pads.

Happy Holidays!
