I have used this for several years. I once built rc gliders from scratch and used it when i needed a sandable filler. I have not tried it on plastic yet. in researching i found modelers are using them probably I should give it a try but since there made with hollow glass beads microscopic in size, they might just be ok. originally used by guys making rc wood airplanes
"Micro balloons are microscopic glass beads that can be used to fill cracks and holes in balsa wood. They are added to resin systems to create a lightweight, easy-to-sand putty.
Here are some microballoon products:

- 3M Microballoons: Intended for ultralight composites
- Phenolic Microballoons: Available in 1 lb, 5 lb, 16 oz, 32 fl.oz, and 8 oz bags
