I found a pad at Hobby lobby folks use for doiamond dotsz art. It's just a silicon pad that has a sticky surface. Apparently it has no residue. I purchased one it holds parts from rolling away it can't find any film that would interfere with paint. I'll test it tomorrow

it measures about 6x3 inches and it's great for paint bottles preventing the tipping over when we accidentally hit one.
