Posted by John3M on Thursday, April 11, 2024 12:31 PM

Has this ever happened to you? I have been using super glue for many years and on occasion no matter what i do either using for wood or plastic It  simply will not setup. I do all the typical things when using it including using the accelerator, but it simply will not work. anyone know why this happens? it does not happen all the time but i can't figure it

Ahoy John3m.  Yes, superglue frustrates me beyond belief.  Thin, thick, or gel, with and without zipkicker.  It can't be depended upon to work.  I believe that superglue has some magical property that can't be explained.  Perhaps it has a mind of its own.  The only application that I depend upon superglue for is to fill seams. It does this well if you apply it and don't molest it until you know its set.

Oho! Tha Gorilla!

I always get the 15 gram bottle, there's always something to fix besides hobby stuff in this house,With three rambunctious dogs and one stuck up cat! Surprisingly, I used to swear by "Bob Smith Products" in this genre. But this product beats them all!

Big fan of Gorilla too.  Having to clear tip clogs is a thing of the past.  Its a superior seam filler too compared to any of the putties out there.  The best part is, you can buy the stuff at any Walmart.  The only problem I have had with it, as with any super glue, is that prolonged exposure to low temperatures pretty much turns the whole bottle of super glue into nice string-making material.
