I use Micro-mesh kit KR-70. It starts at 1500 grit and goes up to 12000 grit. It also comes with a nice foam sanding block, some anti-static cream and lint free wipes.

I also use Novus polishing compounds #1 and #2. These are good for light duty applications.

The Micro-mesh kit can polish anything.

Heres a couple of pics of my first and second attempts with polishing. The Porsche was the first, the 350Z was the second done a few weeks ago.

I was wondering if anybody would notice the lack of pictures?Blush [:I]. I uploaded them to aol, but when I copy and paste the url in the image tags it doesn't work. Just those annoying boxes with red x's. I also tried rons site but was having no luck this afternoon. I will try later.

OK, finally got them loaded so here goes...

The 350Z was airbrushed with Testors british racing green, then polished with Micro-mesh and waxed. No clear coat was used. The model is almost done.

The Porsche was Testors yellow from a spray can. This too was polished with the same kit and then clear coated.

I was happy with the results for my first and second try. Will have more too share when I finish my Enzo Ferrari.
