Don't know about a model, but I owned the real thing for 10 years. It was made from 1985 to 1988 if I remember right (mine was a 1987), and was then replaced by the Eclipse. The one in the Cannonball movie was an '85, I think.

It wasn't a Chrysler Conquest though, it was a Dodge Conquest. Same company, I know, but if you search for a Chrysler it might not show up. And actually it wasn't sold to Mitsubishi, they built them originally and licensed them to Dodge to build under the Conquest name.

Yeh I am not aware of such a kit either, I have looked and looked, I think if Chrysler has licensed the JEEP kit to plastic model manufacturers that they would license this, no problem. As for the popularity of the kit to the manufacturer, uhmm well, someone is selling only 1 METAL DIE cast kit on EBAY for 100$(with no bids,of course), in less than a year these cars will be classics.... I think that they would sell like hot cakes.... The Conquest was the Porsche that yuppies could afford... and looked DAMN cool...... I will do whatever it takes to get these kits made, I would like to see them, it was the first car that was built by an American and Japanese company on a joint basis.....

Sorry, not aware of such a kit.

AS for lobbying any company to produce a certain kit, you will need to proof to them that they can sell x-amount of kits and thus make it worthwile for them to spend x00.000USD on developing the kit, advertisement, licence to produce the kit, etc.

Ok, here it goes, back in the late 80's there was a car called a Chrysler Conquest, it was a joint Japanese/Chrysler project , then it was eventually sold to Mitsubishi, then Mitsubishi remade the entire car into the Starion, then into the "Eclipse" package we see today....
What I need to know is did any plastic model manufacturers make the Chrysler Conquest/Starion, and if not , how would I go about lobbying a plastic model company into making a model of these cars?

Any hints would be FANTASTIC, if not I am going to scratch build this sucker.....
