de-bonder is acetone, which can be bought at hardware stores or if you cant find straight acetone then nail polish remover with acetone in it will work. if you are getting nail polish remover remember to check that it does have acetone. actually i prefer nail polish remover cos it smells better and also can be used on pimples.

Reggies right, white glue will shrink quite a bit. As for CA I have found that to minimize sanding you need to make a few passes over the fresh CA with a soft brush dipped in De-Bonder, smoothes the CA down Nicely.

it only works for very small gaps. its preferred to super glue cos its less aggresive in its bond, so it can work for or against you. shrinkage can occur with white glue, but never with zap-a-gap. however, CA is extremely difficult to sand. i usually use Mr surfacer 500 to fill small gaps. just my 2 cents Smile [:)]

Putty/Filler question

I was reading in a few older articles about some people using white glue as a filler for gaps. What does everyone think about this as opposed to using zap-a-gap/putty/etc. Is there a possibility of shrinkage? Just trying to see about different ways of doing the same thing... ;)
