I am not sure if this is the material involved, but I read a article from "Starship Modeller" site (I think it was there can'tfind it now)
Someone was scratchbuilding a Romulen Warbird. Since the tail section was to thin to run fiber optics, he tried Light Sheet. The heat produced melted the tail section. I don't wish to stifle your creativity, but I don't want you to melt your Falcon either. Just don't place it next to thin sections of styrene.
