Hi Jeff and all,

yeah, I must agree they are really useful, one question though as I have never done this before, but read in one recent issue of FSM....How do we get the frame to show through when vacu-forming canopies?

Thanks to all

Yeah, that is cool. I got to use a slightly bigger version at Knott's Berry Farm to vac-form some brick wall sections that were destined to be installed on several Halloween Haunt maze walls. The one I used was a 4-foot by 4-foot square. They are lots of fun to use!

Plus $231 for the external vacuum. And, here in North Carolina the sales tax adds another $245, bringing you pretty close to a round $4,000. And I thought Lie-Nielsen hand planes were expensive[:0]

Maybe I'll show my wife and she might buy it for me, she is getting tired of me using her Kirby and stove on my old homebuilt Vac machine.

I actually would like to have a vacuformer like that. Seems large scale Sci-Fi models might become popular and vac hulls would be much more economical than large resin models. I would love to master a kit of the Rebel Blockade runner from Star Wars but the amount of resin needed would make for a very expensive and heavy model.

It would almost be worth it if you could do a little vacuforming for pay.

It's just like auto or aircraft racing - all it takes is cubic bucks!
