Thanks again for the replies, guys.
I nearly washed my hands off on the figures, but still no way I can get them glued. CA just does nothing, and my "normal" Revell hobby glue seemed better at start, but doesn't work good as well: as soon as I pick up a figure, the parts start falling offAngry [:(!].
Just buying a two component glue for these two tiny s%#**^ figures might be too much for me. Same goed for drilling and using connecting nails. I have never had any trouble glueing resin conversion parts with CA before.

Besides that: the figures also seem too small compared to my normally used Dragon pilot figures (that are no longer available here). Guess I'll just look for another make of crew figures...

Thanks again, Gertjan

I use 2 part epoxy for large resin pieces (I also drill holes in flat mating surfaces and sometimes pin pieces tgether with cut-off nails). CA works fine for small pieces. Remember to wash.

I clean my resin parts in denaturated alcohol which is used to remove grease and oils from machines in factories. I use either CA or Testors cement for wood and metal for gluing resin into place.

I have some 1/72 CMK resin and have never had a problem using CA. I did wash them first.

Whoa! Thank you for the quick reply!
I must admit: I haven't washed the figures! I'll try that and if that won't work, try the JB Weld.

Thanks again, best regards!

Question, did you wash the figures before you tried the CA? If you didn't, the mold release agent may be preventing the CA from holding.

Otherwise try a two part epoxy - I use JB Weld because it dries hard (some epoxies tend to get a rubbery texture when they dry and can be hard to form)

Clue on glue to use for CMK resin?
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, August 26, 2005 7:32 AM
Hello all,

Just bought some 1:35 CMK-pilot figures and to my surprise my normally used Cyanoacrylate glue doesn't work on the CMK resin (it does work on other resin). Before I start experimenting away and maybe damage the figures, does anyone have a clue on what glue to use in this case?

Thanks in advance,

Gertjan
