First off, welcome to the forums.

I know the airbrush kit you are talking about on Ebay. Personally, I would recommend against it. Not because of anything bad about the kit, but I believe you might out grow it's usefulness quickly. When you do, you will be left with a compressor and airbrush sitting in the closet, after you upgrade to a better one.

I have a Badger Cresendo 175 and an Aztek A470. I love my A470 although you will hear others talk bad about it.

This would be a good set if you can afford it: http://www.testors.com/catalog_item.asp?itemNbr=2206

If you can't afford that, I would look into less costly Aztek A470s or Contempos. You can set these airbrushes to act as single action airbrushes until you feel comfortable with double action. The only word of caution is really clean the airbrush good after each use. Here's a link to Aztek airbrushes: http://www.testors.com/catalog_brand.asp?brandNbr=1&ictNbr=10

Any other questions, just let me know.

this is the kit. Sorry for being a newbie/ i did not see the part about no airbrushes under this forum....sorry. I just read tho someone on here using there 30 gallon compressor, i have a 15 gallon craftsman compressor that i use for air tools , would something like that work......i know id still need the airbrush itself and some fittings to get it to work. ANY help is appreciated, like i said im a huge newbie

The compressor you have should work fine, most airbrushes use a 1/4" fitting which your compressor probably already has. The only down side might be waiting for the tank to fill. I don't know how along a 15 gallon tank takes to fill.

That's a better package than the testor kit. Since you already have a compressor, there is no need to buy another, though you might want to buy an airbrush style regulator as they are adjustable in smaller increments. Not necessary, but nicer to use.

It's a private label Badger 150 but with what looks like a plastic handle. They are excellent airbrushes (says one who owns two!) though I would get the Badger version as it has a metal handle. The plastic ones break off. This one from Dixieart http://www.dixieart.com/Badger_Model_150_Illustration_Airbrush.html comes with fine, medium and large needles and will serve you well.

So long folks!

will the regulator for 27.95 be sufficent or do i need the 55.95 regulator.........
thanks a bunch again for all of your help

Ick....I would not count on anything being operations there. Even if they are open shipping services might not be.

the mail has been shut down to and from louisiana, so you might have trouble with that order.

They said they should be operational again in around 1 week.
