Some of those empty shelves could even use a few old glass telephone pole insulators.Smile [:)]

Seriously, you'll want as much light as possible, so I would definitely recommend painting the walls white. Gloss white might glare too much; a semi-gloss or even a flat white would do. (My workbench has an old soil amendment advertising poster turned face down as a cover; it's white with a lightly textured surface that gives it a semi-gloss sheen that doesn't glare too much.) If you can, use a bulb in the lamp that gives off full-daylight-type light (I use GE Reveal bulbs).

Definitely paint it white. The more light you can bounce around the better you can see what you're doing.

I used a kitchen hood as well, though I made mine a stand alone affair...

I've got to get a better compressor, that little thing sound HUGE!

I've got my eye on a 10x12 shed I can put in the backyard for my modeling. Maybe next year!

So long folks!

Nice! For a couple of decades I worked in a corner of my garage, would have really like something like this, especially detached from the house. Is there anything better than building a workshop? <grin>

May you have many happy years of modeling in there.

I'm assuming that in AZ, you can work year round in a seperate shed/workshop. I'd freeze my _ _ _ off here! Looking good though!

smokinguns3:

Great looking shop! Now it looks like all you need is a chair or two and some kits, tools, etc. etc. Big Smile [:D]

Did you do the work yourself or did it come in a kit? Big Smile [:D]

Thanks for the look, I would be interested to see it when you're finished and moved in.

Cheers;

Gregory
