I use #11 or #15 scalpels for the most part, sometimes a #12 scalpel. I
don't much care who makes them as long as they're individually wrapped
and sterile when shipped. I have two modified X-acto handle to hold the
rib-backed blades (filed a small groove along one collet split). I
don't worry about them rolling of the bench, I'm not dumb enough to
lose track of something that sharp and I use point guards when they're
not in use.
