I use #11 or #15 scalpels for the most part, sometimes a #12 scalpel. I don't much care who makes them as long as they're individually wrapped and sterile when shipped. I have two modified X-acto handle to hold the rib-backed blades (filed a small groove along one collet split). I don't worry about them rolling of the bench, I'm not dumb enough to lose track of something that sharp and I use point guards when they're not in use.

I get mine from work, 100 blades for $18 CDN. I work for a printing company and we use them for cutting film and scribing plates. The kind I use don't flare out from the handle like X-acto blades do. Makes them roll even faster off the table! My LHS has "proper" X-acto ones for $22 CDN. Still a pretty sharp (ha ha) price.

So long folks!
