I found mine at the local hobby store. Try a craft store or Michaels, also Walmart.

Failing that Micromark.com and hobbyco.com carry pin vises online.

I just finished building, but have not yet decaled the Do335A Pfeil. Nice model!

So long folks!

Doug;

I do not know where you are located globally so I did a simple search and came up with this.

If you can provide more information as to your location it may help me narrow down your choice of store to go to and pick one up.

Cheers;

I picked mine up at Hobbylobby. They carry Hobbyco stuff, at least mine does? If you can't find one at a store, you can check www.hobbylinc.com , they carry just about every tool you could want!

Got mine at Radio Shack.  always see them there.  might not be the cheapest but works fine and easy to find.  Comes with a decent set of drills too.

Any good hobby shop should carry them. My last trip to California, I took the model and some tools with me and I needed a pin vise in an emergency situation. I thought I had one, but lo and behold, there was none in my portable tool box! Fortunately, on that trip, I had a chance to see a friend in Northridge, and on the way, I stopped at Smith Brothers' Hobbies and found a pin vise for my portable tool kit.

Word to the wise, do not get a cheap pin vise - make sure the mating surfaces are all square with each other before you buy one, unless you prefer drilling crooked holes. The Testor's pin vice I picked up at my local hobby shop has misaligned collets on the small-drill end, which causes problems if I forget to compensate for it when I start drilling a new hole. That was before I discovered Micromark. Yes, they are expensive, but you more than get your money's worth by the amount of frustration that quality made, well-built tools will save you.

Doug--

Go back to your local hardware stores and ask for a set of tip cleaners for welding torches.  Some sets come as individual reamers stored in a pin vise handle.  You can use the cleaner tips as burnishers and reamers to enlarge or elongate holes.  The pin vise handle will work quite well in holding your fine drill bits.  I found mine at our local, small-town Ace Hardware Store for around $5.00.   Smile [:)]
