Sears has the answer once again
Posted by wing_nut on Sunday, June 25, 2006 6:18 PM

Picked these up at Sears the other day.  Tried them out and they are great.  The soft plastic jaws swivel for irregular shapes and has a ratcheting lock.  They are about 5 inches long and the spring loaded jaws wide enough for anything I will ever do. About $2 each.

Humm... Me don't think Mr. Roebuck invented anything other than selling things from a catalog. Even the items with the brand name Kenmore, Sears, and Craftsman are made by other companies. The same as any department or grocery store brand is.

The only thing Alvah Roebuck invented other than a company with partner Richard Sears is an unused, modified keyboard layout for typewriters call "woodstock".

At one time, you could buy a whole set of those clamps from Sears (and perhaps you still can). I once bought a set for Father for Christmas some years back and also a set for myself. I like them.
