what tools do you use making your model

well ,im just gitting in this,would toe nail clipper work for cuting,is there something for getting glue marks,how long do you guys make models,day,were can you buy all this stuff at

An excel handle with #11 blade...(I like the excel over the X-acto because the chuck is located in the rear and once its tight its tight...with X-acto handles I was constantly torquing down on the chuck)
Paint brushes...a variety of sizes and styles from liner brushes to chisel brushes
Floquil needle for applying Ambroid Pro weld(Glue)
Tweezers
Sandpaper(various grits)
Sanding sticks(various grits)
Toothpicks
Nutcracker(for getting open stuck paint jar lids)
Various types of filler/sculpting putties
Paint..lots of paint!
Napkins
Dremel(dont us it often but its in the drawer)
and just like Demono....DR.Pepper by the case! Ahhh the elixor of life LOL

It would take a long time to go through the whole list, but here are some must haves(for me that is). A good hobby knife, my favorite takes scalpel blades and was made by a company called Uber. A good airbrush, I have several but like my trusty Paasches best. A Dremel is great to have and mine has a flexishaft which makes it very handy. A good assortment of sandpaper and needle files. Sprue cutters are an absolute necessity. A touch-n-Flow glue applicator and a drafting pen to get that glue where you want it. A scribing tool, I have several but like a small chisel bit in a tool meant to hold a screw driver bit the best. Hemostates are very handy and I have a good assortment of straight and curved ones. Panavises are nice and I use a standard and a Jr. model. Reading glasses with a X2.75 magnifaction. Dental picks and scrapers. A self healing cutting mat, get a big one you'll be happier. A good pinvise and a set of drill bits for it. Paint brushes and get the best ones you can find. Tweezers are very handy to manipulate small parts. List could go on for a long time as I like my tools as much as my models. The one big tip I would give is to keep your eye open for tools and products you can use while building.

A # 11 x-acto knife has to be at the top of the modeling list.

HTe list can be almost endless, depending on what type of building you do. For general purposes (no scratchbuilding) here's what i personally use:

Lots of good lighting
#11 Exacto knife with plenty of extra blades
Micro angled flush cutters, also known as "sprue clippers"
Assorted brushes, ranging from 0 to 000
Lots of paint
CA glue
CA disolver (of course, for my many mistakes)
sandpaper (various grits)
putty
sculpting tool / knife
paper napkins (cleaning brushes / spills)
ashtray w/ lots of cigs
Dr Pepper (the 100,000 gallon economy size)

Not exactly a complete list, but a good start.
