Richs26,

We are at the mercy of the postal service when it comes to timing of issue arrival so there's no way to get the issues to you faster. You at one of the military bases up that way?

I would like to see the new issue, but I haven't seen it yet.  It takes awhile to make it to North Pole, AK.  I predict it will get here on the 10th.  Aaron, is there any way I can get my issues sooner?

Thanks Tankbuilder! Glad you liked the issue.

Aurora did do a Flying Sub (later repoped under the Monogram label). It was 1/60 scale.Moebius' model is a whole new animal that is nearly twice as big.

Cheers,

Aaron

HI everybody , I hope you got your new copy , if not get it now ! This issue is crammed with good stuff .I especially liked the box stock builds and the reviews . The review on the flying sub got me to thinking , Didn,t AURORA originally do this kit ,Then wasn,t it redone by MONOGRAM ????I built probably five back then and gave them away as gifts to my S.F. loving friends . It was neat then and probably is neater now . I never did know the original scale . The oob builds proves you can build a" contest grade " model without breaking the budget on aftermarket parts . There are those of us who prefer to build this way ,doing subtle corrections and upgrades to what,s in the box . This means for instance ,if a ship (my specialty) has handrails molded on the bulk heads ,remove the molded on things and add real ones (in scale ,of course ).Then correct ladders ,etc . The trick that the articles point out is to use your skills and pass on the aftermarket ,if you wish !!! The reviews were outstanding as usual and they pointed out some new stuff from firms that I don,t believe put out full kits . I can only say ,study this issue from the cover to the last page .You will NOT be disappointed ---TANKERBUILDER
