Can't help with the modex but following page suggests that the aircraft was BuNo.158968 assigned to VMA-513

while stationed at yuma mcas a av8a went down on runway 3L killing 1ST LT charles simpson call sign (chester) on jan 26 1982  how do i find the bu# modex # and squad # of that bird i have called n.s.a. with no luck other goverment ***. have given me no leads.  any help.  why?  after looking for a av8a model i found one and now want to build it in his honer. its a 1/48 monogram
