What exactly is a ' Rosco Turners 'Red Lion' Gilmore Oil sponsored  Wedell Williams'?

Dare I guess a 18th century oil painting of a person or ship?

Post a picture and our helpful forum members will help decipher the colors you need.

If memory serves correct the plane is in a issue of 'Great Scale Modeling'

The light color is a off white, like a bit of tan. The red is darker than standard red. When I go through the issues I will let you know which one its in.

Thanks for the prompt replys!

Sprue-ce Goose, That is the animal thanks for posting that.

Suppression fire, good point I should have posted at least a picture. The Wedell Williams is an air racer built in 1932. Here is a pic…..

I realy need specifics for the colours, as far as paint codes if anyone can. I know I ask a lot!!

I've recently purchased the Williams Bro.s 1/32 scale kit of this racer. The kit instructions say white, but the box art shows a creamy off white, which I believe is correct. The pic you posted looks great but a bit too white .

Here's the box art.

On the back of the box are profiles of the various versions this kit can be built into. Notice the difference of the white from the Gilmore Special #121 and racer #92.

My goal when I build this kit is a very light latte color. Starting with white and adding drops of light tan or sand .

I also agree that the red stripes and lettering are a little darker red although the kit says "red".

Hope this helps and good luck .

Howard

try using a tamiya red, against pale colours it comes out very crimson. The box shots on the back look almost pinkish?

Considering its an "Art Deco" style with colours to match, Id go with a bright red. Almost a Ferrari red.
