While surfing for info on B-17C/D's, I found this forum on Corregidor and the Philippines Campaign.  It has info on captured US P-40's, M-3 Stuarts, T-12's, and even US Army Bren Gun Carriers.

Thanks for the link!

By coincidence, I just finished re-reading "Doomed at the Start" about the Air Corps' fighter squadrons stationed in the Philipines at the start of the Japanese invasion.  I have a long range plan to model a collection of the aircraft on the flight line at that time.

I have the print of the book cover for that signed by several of the pilots (Saburu Sakai, Grashio, and Moore).  It is among my most prized possessions.  I gave my copy of Doomed at the Start to my nephew when he started AF pilot training (as a cautionary warning).  My long term goal includes building no. 41 in 1/48 as depicted in the painting but I'm not sure which brand of kit to use.

I'm planning on using the venerable Monogram P-40B kit for mine.
