B-29: Source for Pictures of Fuselage with Gun Turret Removed
Posted by B-58Lover on Thursday, September 15, 2011 8:34 PM

I'm working on a 1/72 OD color B-29 modeled to represent the "Esso Express" fuel hauler over the Hump. I need to remove the gun turrets, but was not sure what the result should look like (i.e. should anything remain of the gun turret ring (molded projection on the fuselage), or is the fuselage flat and just a disc filling each of the holes left by the removal of the turrets?)

Would anyone know where I could find a picture of the fuselage after turrets were removed?

Thanks for any info/guidance.  All the best.

I saw your post this morning and stumbled across this picture this afternoon.  Here's the link.

Thanks for passing that one along, Player!

The shot clearly shows how the turret locations have been handled.

Thanks again.

All the best!
