No, it is a book about 48 pages long, has a UPC code on the back, list price was $6.95. It was just squished between two thicker books on my bookshelf.

Very helpful book done with respect to the reader.

Is this one of those supplements FSM sometimes includes with news stand issues?

Cool Find! Scale Modeling Handbook No. 12: TIPS & TECHNIQUES (1992)

I was looking through my bookshelf last week and came across this thin modeling guide I had almost forgotten about, it kinda blended right in with the many other books I have. I was surprised I still have it, good memories from the time I first bought this nice guidebook many moons ago!

As I flipped through it I can see many of the tips, collected from past readers of the original FSM, are still just as good and usable today as they were in 1992.

The other thing I found delightful about this guidebook is the cover which has an actual scene of a busy workbench with a modelers hand placing an TA-4J Skyhawk's canopy actuator rod! Amazing! This was made back in the days when magazine publicists and photographers made every effort to incorporate a sense of ambiance and style into nearly every picture, bringing the reader a sense of "you are there!" to the photo.

Sadly, if this guidebook were produced today, it'd feature that TA-4J on a very dull, completely white back drop, void of any style or visual interest. Suffice it to say, this delightful and handy book isn't going anywhere soon and a reminder of more thoughtful days. Toast
