There is a hobby magazine published called "AFV". Don't know if that is what you are looking for.

I have no idea how good/bad it is.

I have some stuff from the cold war era along those lines, but nowadays it seems to be more vehicle specific stuff out there. Or service theater specific. Osprey makes great stuff in their publishing lines, but it only covers one vehicle type per book. Unless you get one of their "Duel" series, in which case two vehcile types are covered- e.g. M1A1 vs. T-72.

Looking for modern AFV books and ressources

Hi all

(I posted this very same question in the FSM Ready Room section, but I guess here is the better place to ask)

Can anyone recommend me a great guide / encyclopedia for modern tanks and AFV ?

At home I have more than 50 books on WWII era ships, tanks and aircrafts, but very little for post-Cold War era.

One of the only book I have is the old 1996 Jane's Tank & Combat Vehicle Recognition Guide

Link on Amazon :  http://www.amazon.com/Janes-Combat-Vehicle-Recognition-Guides/dp/0004709950/

While still an extremely great read, I was wondering if there are other similar (but more recent) books.

I like the Jane very technical approach (with complete stats), but I also like a more “illustrated” encyclopedia-style guide.

Thanks !
