What are you looking for in the books? Color schemes? Detail photos? In action photos?
Squadron's "In Action" and "Walkaround" books are good for some of each. As are the Detail and Scale books. You also may want to look at Osprey's books on each type if youre more interested in schemes and histories as opposed to the technical side.
The World Airpower and Famous Aircraft periodicals usually have superb articles on subject aircraft, but you have to know which volume has the subject you're looking for.
I really can't think of a one stop book for each aircraft. Especially for those two types that had large production runs and multiple versions.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...
