Bradley M2 info needed...
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, May 8, 2004 12:39 PM
Hi everybody, how are you? I really need some help. Please!

I have a bunch of links, such as: Major Rob's Motor Pool, Tanxheaven, afv interiors and so on and so forth... I can't find close-ups, or close-up enough I should say, of the M-257 smoke dischargers on the old Brad M2. I have to scratchbuild a pair and I really need pics and specs. I have a friend that will probably help w/scale conversions, but building these things has proved to be no easy task. I'm having trouble with the bases because of the way the tubes are offset, which makes shaping and scribing the styrene very difficult. I'm in desperate need of help in any way! (pics, advice, ideas, anything!) It's driving me nuts Banged Head [banghead]Banged Head [banghead]Banged Head [banghead] My skill level definitely doesn't help either.
I've posted several threads on this subject and I've recieved a great deal of help already. Although I need to get them done in order to topcoat the turret. Then I'll be able to touch-up everything else and get on with the build. I want to build them as accurate as possible, because from what I've seen the Tamiya parts aren't the most accurate things in the world. The bases and the tubes are good, but the box-type thing that those are mounted to are inaccurate, in my opinion at least. Cheers, -Spencer

Thanks Alex, Yes Pawel has an excellent site. I have plans for them now, thanks to my friend Scott. I've just been too busy lately to build them. I'm going to try to get some time in tonight. -Cheers

one place to go is straight to the source. find a regular army or nat'l guard unit in your area and see if they'll let you take a look. good luck.
