Another problem with Hannants is that they only send orders out when they 'get around to it'. Not enough competition in the UK perhaps. When I order anything else online I'd expect it to arrive within a week, and often it arrives within a day or two. Not so if you're a modeller it seems. If anyone finds an online UK site selling modelling stuff who behave like other online retailers tell me about them please Evil [}:)]

Whoops! I guess I just made a fool out of myself.... the models in motion site has grown a lot since I last saw it. They used to do Tamiya only.

First of all. Welcome Tim. You're gonna like it here.
And next, Sean? This is what I like about this site. If you need help, whether it is advice or whatever, there is always someone here to help.
Y'all have a great day.

Have you tried Hannants?

I'm in the US and have never ordered from them, but a pal has and he's had great service. Many of the folks here on the forum who are from the UK recommend them as well.

Does anyone know if there are any mail-order websites based in the UK that sell things like decal softening/ setting solutions, flat varnishes etc?
( I know this sounds like a pretty stupid question, but all the sites I have been able to find are based in the USA, and there is some sort of American law that prevents these sites from shipping solvent-based products overseas. I have to order most of my modeling supplies over the internet, as the local hobby stores near to me are always poorly-stocked )
