Jeeves your right on your guess.If you make for the pacific leave the deicer boots off but use the flame damppiners.At night they did not want to give themselfes away.If you do a model depicing the Aleutians or north atlantic use the boots.Digger

Did they have the rubber deicer boots on the wing, tail, and horizontal stab leading edges? Seems like the Pacific would be warm enough so they'd lose these...but checking to make sure...
