I have 3 of the Osprey Modeling Manual books;
'Modeling WWII Figures' no. 9
'WWII Dioramas' no. 7
'Intermediate Military Vehicle Modeling' no. 5
That I would be willing to let go for a very low rate. Retail these things are about $15 to $18 a piece. All three are in perfect condition. Let me know if you are interested.

Kalmbach Publishing has a great line of modeling books on just about any modeling subject you might wish to try. You might also take a look at Osprey Publications. They publish both How to books (largely on aircraft and armor) and reference books (mostly aircraft). You can get either company's products on line or at a good hobby shop (and if the hobby shop doesn't have the particular item in stock, they should be able to order it for you) Hope this helps a little.

Kalmbach books (FSM) did a bunch of what i consider to be great books on modelling:
"How to Build Plastic Models" by Roscoe Creed
"Painting and Finishing Scale Models" by Paul Boyer

these carry the banner of FSM:
"Scale Modeling: Tips and Techniques" Scale Modeling Handbook No.12)
"Detailing Scale Model Aircraft" by Mike Ashley

imo you can't go wrong with any of what Kalmbach produces in the "How to........." book arena........
best 'o luck to ya...........

I've just started back to building models and need some good references regarding painting: surface preparation, types of paint to use and when, how many coats, sanding, etc. Any book titles you can suggest would be appreciated. Thanks.
