Just some thoughts. I did a search on the engine type itself maybach whatever and thar lead to some colour references. I believe they were med. grey on the bottom half, with a lighter grey atop. the compartment was red primed all over then grey (quite dark) below the floor level and a colour called eifelbein (ivory) for above floor level. Hope this limited info helps
