de Havilland Venom FB. 1

I picked up the Glencoe Models 1/48 scale of this early jet on the discount shelf last weekend for $5. When I got home I was surprised to find it a fairly decent kit (for the price anyhow). I've been wanting to build a dH Vampire for quite some time which was the predossesor to the Venom. Anyhow, aside from a very nicely detailed ejection seat, the kit lacks any other cockpit detail. And by that I mean there is nothing in there but a slab for the floor. The panel lines are finely engraved and the canopy is crisp and clear. The decals are printed quite nicely and give you six (yes six) options. There are even FS numbers given and a decent history write up.

All I'm lacking now are references especially for the cockpit. If anyone knows of some links they would be greatly appreciated. I plan on doing a more detailed review of this kit once I get started.
