Trying to find drawing of a certain Bf-109E-4.
Does anyone out there happen to have a complete set of Karl Ries Jrs "The Markings & Camoflage of the Luftwaffe"? I had a set at one time but they dissapeared during one of our moves several years ago. I have an old Micro Scale decal sheet (Luftwaffe Aces #3 - sheet 72-64) and I would like to build one of the aircraft on that sheet. The sheet itself never had any drawings, just to use one of the references shown for placement of the decals.
The aircraft is a Bf-109E-4 of JG1, flown by Oblt Reinhart Heydrich for three or four months in 1940. Heydrich, who had learned to fly while in the Navy, apparently took a leave from his job as second in command of the Allegemien SS and the head of the Reichssicherheitshauptamt (RSHA or Reich Chief Security Office) to serve on active duty.
I know there was a color drawing in one of the Ries volumes, just can't remember which one. If someone out there has this set of books and can find the drawing, would it be possible to scan it and post it here or e-mail it to me?
Thanks
