Kit Lists

Here is the 1/72 census.

There is a 1/48 scale list also and I'm compiling one for 1/144 that is about 40 pages now. OOP kits are hard to pin down since they are frequently re-released or copied. Have you seen anything on 1/144 Chinooks?
I encourage people to send info on 1/144 to me. Two gentlemen from the forum have been kind enough to send data on 1/144 kits in their collection and are thanked at the bottom of the main page. There's a vacuformed Chinook in 1/144 by Welsh Models, but that's it that I know of in 1/144.

You're welcome and thank you. I hoped that the site would help. Trying to find things when you don't know what exists can drive you mad. That was how the 1/144 census started.
There was talk here on the forum about what was available in 1/144. Since I'm a fan of 1/144 (I do build others scales when I find a neat subject or take an interest in something, but I one want 1 of every plane and helo-hence 1/144), I took a look around and started to compile this list from what I had, what other people sent me that they had at hand, and scouring model mags. I had the computer skill and have time (what college allows) so I took it upon myself. The net is so vast that without an idea of what to look for, I don't usually find anything of use. Just a subject and a manufacturer is a gem. From that you can narrow the search and somethimes you get other things by the way. I've added the kit to the list and you "paul_toz" to the contributors.

I know this is off topic, but curiosity is getting the better of me.

How big is that 1/144 Chinook? What are the dimensions of any 1/144 scale jet?

Glamdring-Jets run a lot of sizes. Airliners, Military bombers, and even fighters (the X85 comes with a B36-thats tiny) are available. Tiny WW1fighters in white metal are produced by one company. (Another has gone out of business a few years back.) There is a nice selection of armor in recent years. Mostly WW2 German but with some US, Modern German, and British being added here and there. Space and Scifi are plentiful. There are some ships. One hovercraft even provides 4 cars! One is a VW Bug and I'm still looking at pics to try to decide on the others. Figures can be purchased from Prieser. There is a lot of possibilities in 1/144 and in 1/4 the size of 1/48 and 1/2 of 1/72. Major dioramas the size of a book! I've even considered scratchbuilding cockpits, etc as I build kits and casting them for sale. I am supposed to be getting a nice workspace when we finish our new pole barn and will at last not be confined to a desk held together with duct-tape and propped up with a box. I like diorama's and will be scratchbuildinging a lot anyway. Might as well make molds as I go.
Chopperfan-I'm looking for that site again. I found it a while back looking for for something. It was based in Europe, I'm thinking ( It was multi-lingual). I'm not sure how complete it is but it was a start.

That's crazy! I have a problem losing pieces to a 1/48 airplane but a 1/144, I'd problably lose the whole model in the carpet!

I would love to see some pics of the dioramas some day as I am curious to see a scene that takes up the space of my old business law textbook.

I'm not sure how big your text is but my anthropology book could easily hold 2 P-47s undergoing repair, complete with an engine hoist, Jeep and/or Truck, pilot meeting, and maybe a mini-scene. The P-47D I'm researching on is a little bigger then a playing card. It could easily be parked on a can of peaches.
One of the guys on the forum did a dio with 1/350 scale aircraft!!! Yardbird did some1/700 Phantoms

That's alright kaleu. It made me rethink some of the organization. I'll be listing the four Morsers under a combined heading in addition to the four seperate ones. Makes thing easier to find. I apprieciate the effort in any case. You make a fourth contributor in anycase.. I have down the subject, maker, and kit numbers but I am still hunting the finished length and width, number or pieces, skill level, and decal options to complete the entries. More stuff goes up in green(incomplete entries) then lt. blue (complete) it seems. A few entrie did get to switch this week so yay!!

I'm just building that 1/144th Chinook I told you about. Already spent more time on my hands and knees searching the carpet than with all my other models combined! Those cockpit pieces are sooooo small - they fly well though! I think I need to work with a safety net.

Thanks! I got and now I get to dig through it. Should keep me out of mischef a while. I'm still looking for the 1/48 listing. It seems to be hiding. I can't remember the url and apparantly I'm not finding the right search wordss. I'm fairly certain it was based in France since it was in French and English. (Story of my life, if I want it I can't find it!!) I've not seen a car list though. That is a surprise. How is the kit coming, Paul? Those little pieces do drive you mad. I've had pieces manage to switch compartments in the case. I've been reworking Minicraft's p47 on and off (mostly off lately) and it gives me fits So many little thing to correct. I think I'll end up doing a write up of it and posting it on the census. I'd like to add pictures, write ups, etc. at some point.
