Chris Ellis' Scale Modeler's handbook is pretty good too. It's a general referance sort of book, but the diagrams are pretty good and there are a variety of sample projects.

Thanks for the info, I shall add this to my list of 'must haves'.

Thanks again,

Steve.

Steve,

No need to apologize!

The book I always recommend as the best all-around modeling reference is Shep Paine's How to Build Dioramas.

If your local hobby shop doesn't have a copy, you can order it directly from Kalmbach:

Hope this helps!

I know this has probably been asked a million times before but I've done a search and can't find anything.

Here goes, can anybody recommend any good books for a beginner with regard to techniques.

I am particularly interested in 1:35 scale military/armour modelling.

Apolgies and thanks,

Steve.
