It's highly disappointing especially when it happens & costs moneyDisapprove [V] There are a number of Great Britain a/c in here. Like the Fairey Firefly F.R. Mk.1, Lancaster Mark X, Mosquito F Mk.II, The Halifax III
Whoever edited this book screwed up Big Tyme!  The great Britain section starts off with German a/c & I am sitting here going thru this now & found of ALL things... A Japanese  PIYI Ginga (twin engine bomber) "Frances"
Just found some Lanc gun turrets! (centre gun- type F.N.50) Tail turret (type F.N. 120)under gun turret (type F.N. 64 1st prod. Lancs & late war- 4 polish Lanc sqns had them) As far as I'm concerned this book is a bust. No Spits, Mustangs, Corsairs. None of the important/popular warbirds.
It's mostly german a/c. So, Anyone who's into the German Aircraft, this is the book to get! Full of cut-a-ways.
I think I'll hang onto it since I may decide to do up a Mosquito or a Lanc one day.Shock [:O]
Keep the razors sharp!!Propeller [8-]

I just hate when I receive something and its not what I expected.  Sorry to here about your new book.  I guess if you are ever interested in building German planes you have a good reference book. Smile [:)]

Hey y'all.... The BOOK arrived today!! It's not quite qhat I had expected though & I'm not too happy with it as there's not many plans or, cut-a-way drawings of  US planes. (fuel system of a P-38, a couple of drawings of the B-17F & emergency equipment & escape routes, a couple of drawings of the B-29, B-24, B-26. No Mustangs or CorsairsDisapprove [V] BUt, this book is full of German planes tho!(Me 109F, Me110G,Fw190, Ju87D,Ju88c, Me210, He177, Me410) Now there's one heck of a cut-a-way of a Lancaster MK X. Most of the pics are from test books, repair manuals & aircraft recognition charts. It's kind of like looking at an old Sears & Roebuck's catalog (remember the ads???)
The one major downfall to the cut-a-ways is they are on 2 pages. I thought the book would have alot more US planes in it but, it don't. They are from  Great Britain, Germany, (and even a few from the USSR.) It would be nice "IF" another book were to come out showing the Pacific Theater of WWII.
In My honest opinion, this book would be  worth having if you're into the German aircraft of WWII. (no Stukas or Me262 tho...)

A few days ago I bought the November issue of Model Aircraft Monthly.  In it contained the 1/48 scale plans for the Hurricane.  I would love to get my hands on the scale plans for the Curtiss P-40B Warhawk.

Head to HamiltonBook.com and search for "Aircraft Anatomy"-- it is book full of cutaways of the major players in the war-- and had some cool artwork as well.

Well the prints don't have to be orginal.  They just have to show the detail.  I am learning to scratch build and I would like to add more detail to the aircraft.

How do I go about trying to get blue prints of some of the WW ll aircraft? For example the F4U corsair.
