Looking for a great overall WWII (and beyond?) aircraft reference book(s)

OK folks, this probably is a repost, but I searched and searched and couldn't find a darn thing specifically on this subject.  I'm looking for suggestions on a great, overall WWII (or other era, or multiple eras) aircraft reference book.  Probably be a big thing with info, specs, images, maybe plans of various aircraft.  This is a starter reference for me, and I would like a good overall review source.  Any suggestions?  P.S. posted this in reference and in aircraft...  Thanx
