WW2 reference sites?
Posted by sawdeanz on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 2:50 PM
I am looking for historical web sites with information on WW2 battles and such, with photos too preferably. As I am buiding a diorama on a British Matilda tank in Africa, I would like to know about some of the battles it fought in, where these battles took place and what kind of enemy and other tanks it fought. This would be important as i would not want to build a diorama of the British liberating a town in Africa if they never actually did in real life. Also i am wanting to add a destroyed italian tank or AT gun in the diorama and i want to know what tanks a Matilda would have encountered in the battle. Any help on this would be appreciated and any sites would be helpful in future projects for myself and others.
