F-117 "Skunk" Reference Pictures
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, March 3, 2006 5:59 PM

Hey guys,

I restarted modeling after a 10 year break with the 1/72 Hasegawa F-117 "Skunk".  I collected many detail pictures of the F-117 but only found a really poor quality one of this particular paint scheme (the one with the huge skunk works logo).  Can anybody help me out on finding better quality pics?

Also, does anyone have an idea about the story behind this paint scheme?  The Hasegawa manual says its from the 412TW, AFFTC, June 1990 (Edwards AFB I guess).  Ben Rich talks about a SR-71 painted with a huge crying skunk underneath its belly do a fly-by at Kelly Johnsons funeral in his book but this one has no tear drops.

Any help is appreciated.

Berke
