Hi all,

I'm glad you like the link. I'd love to make a scale cutaway PBY, just because it would be really cool. Maybe once I've made it through my current stash. Shy [8)]

You know, if you ever actually see a PBY, it adds a whole newer dimension to the term flying boat.Smile [:)]

That is absolutely amazing! Although I have no intension of building a cutaway, it is excellent for the super detailer.

Thanks Drew;

Hi all,

Here's a great reference for anyone building a PBY Catalina:

Cutaway PBY at the The National Museum of Naval Aviation at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola Florida.

PBY Catalina International Association rescued a PBY that had been damaged in a training flight, restored it fully, and took the skin off of one side so visitors to the museum can see what it looks like on the inside.

It's a fantastic modeling reference!

Regards,
