I am sure that somewhere in here is info for the M26 Dragon Wagon from WWII. I have tried doing a search for it but have come up empty handed. Not sure if I am just not entering the right words to find it or not. Would one of you be able to point me in the right direction? Thanks. |

Try ordering Dragon Wagon: A Visual History of the US Army's Heavy Tank Transporter 1941-1955 by David Doyle and Pat Stansell, Ampersand Publishing, Copyright 2004 from Squadron www.squadron .com.
The price is quite reasonable (somewhere around $20~25 me thinks) for the information you get. I found it most useful in building my "Wagon". I added a few pieces that Tamiya left out thanks to the "nuggets" I gleaned.
The book is over 100 pgs. and is loaded with photos (in action & technical) and drawings and covers the M26Dragon Wagon -M25/M15 trailer combination very well. I got a good understanding of how the vehicle was employed as well as how it was put together. It also delves into the M26A1/M15A1 combination (soft skin version) and tells you a little about the M123 built by Mack.
I thought it was well worth the money I spent - the Dragon Wagon was quite a piece of machinery! I wonder if things might have turned out differently for the Germans if they'd had something of this caliber?
