Yeah they sure were definitely lacking good visual info on those items back then. I still have that old report still in my reference library. It was one of the few things I owned that had good pics of Soviet tanks before the Cold War ended.

The artwork in those famous Pentagon booklets provided an offbeat view of Soviet forces.
