Anyone have any good P-38J photos?
Posted by MikeV on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 1:31 AM

I need some photos of the cockpit and seat of the P-38J and can't find a thing on the web other than the instrument panel and such, no pictures of the seat and seatbelts.

Thanks

Here ya go buddy...

I don't have exactly what you wanted, but if you could use these, go for it.

In Chino California last Spring I went to check out two P-38s that were to fly together. The special, "Glacier Girl" was in town getting plumbed for drop tanks. I didn't get to climb upon the $7,002,000 airplane... Sigh [sigh] but I did get some decent 'walk-around' shots...

Plus, a bonus web find of a "J" looking at into the occupied cockpit...

Bona Fide World War Two shot... and it's a "J"

"J"... unfortunately it's outfitted with modern updates inside the cockpit...

Don't know if this will help, but here is a website with some pictures.  Seat pictures not that good especially with a person sitting in them.
