link and length tracks
Posted by enodaed on Thursday, April 3, 2008 10:36 PM

I've decided to try my hand and metal link tank tracks but I'm having difficulty locating any to fit my needs. I'm building a 1/48 scale T-34-76 1942 by Hobbyboss. Any suggestions?

I not 100% positive, but I don't think there are any aftermarket link and track sets.  All the link and track sets I have seen comes with the original kit.

There are several manufacturers that make aftermarket individual track link sets (hundreds of varieties) for 1/35 Scale armor (Friulmodel, Modelkasten, AFV Club).  I don't build 1/48 armor, but perhaps one of those companies also makes them for 1/48 scale?

There are several 1/48 scale individual track link manufacturers, but only one in metal. Fruilmodel makes 1/48 scale individual track links in metal, but not for the T-34 (at least not yet). http://www.friulmodel.hu/

There is or was a set of resin link & length tracks I think. For more information on 1/48 scale armor kits, you can browse Track48, a site dedicated to 48th scale armor modeling: http://track48.com/shop/home.php

Thanks Rob. Track48 is very helpful since nearly all of my projects are in 1/48.
