Go to the library and look at the old Time/Life WWII series if they have it.  They do have some color photos.  Try it as they would have the old encyclopedic series that are invaluable.  Also, look at the Squadron In Action series for the German aircraft.  I have a copy of FW-190 In Action and it has several hangar scenes.  Also google the site, WW2 in color as they have alot of Luftwaffe photos.  And don't forget to paint, "Rauchen Verboten" in large red letters.

WIP:  Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 73rd BS B-26, 40-1408, torpedo bomber attempt on Ryujo

Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 22nd BG B-26, 7-Mile Drome, New Guinea

Minicraft 1/72 B-24D as LB-30, AL-613, "Tough Boy", 28th Composite Group

Hunting for decal/signage ref... WWII German Airfield hangars, offices, etc...

I'm in a pickle, needing to find or work out the type of signage one would have expected to see in or around an airfield to get some decals going. Mostly what would be painted on walls, over doors, in hangars, hallways, messes, squadron signage, maintenance areas, etc. The usual warning, danger, entry forbidden, etc I think I've got, but I'd love to find any images or just further thoughts on what should be on them text-wise or graphically (sign shape, color)... any ideas, leads, tips? Trying to get the ideas flowing by looking through ref and building up from there.

So far I've worked up danger, exit, emergency exit, safe area, caution, stockroom, engineering (I think 'technik' is right for that) fire signal, pretty standard stuff, nothing really exclusive to airfields. What have I overlooked? Finding ref's been a bear.

TIA.
