For what it's worth, consider a website thru Smugmug.
Privacy and maintaining control of the images are important to me. After reading the fine print on a few image hosting sites (paid and free), that avenue lost all appeal.
Smugmug is cheap, so simple even a MS-DOS era neanderthal like me set it up in almost no time, and one can put in all sorts of security/privacy settings...or do the opposite. It also has basic photoshop features.
LOTS of flexibility and space, fast, secure, easy to access, and almost idiot-proof.
While not a paid endorsement, to me, it's the way to go.
Here's my site and "public" stuff. It took about an hour to figure out and upload. Now it only takes a minute to upload/remove/tweek.
