Photo Etch!!!!!
Posted by The Battlekeeper on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 11:30 AM
Hello to all my brothers and sisters in modelling. I wanted to share some info with ya. I have had problems in the past with gliding my etch parts. But no more I swung for the fences and went to Michael's for a glue that would work I tested 5 different brands and came out with the best glue I have ever used and only 3 bucks!!!! Aleena's super gel!!! Now I also came across a new brand of photo etch by Dream Model for my F-14 A. Dream model etch is about the same width of Eduard but 4 dollars cheaper. I compared other and was really surprised with Dream model the color was far better and the consoles were more vividly colored. Ie you can actually see the detail pop in the front office!!! I really like what I got from Dream Model.

Photo Etch works On some areas of modeling. But; The glue part is the most frustrating part. You can use a strong white glue on the small parts ,and the Super Glue type on the larger parts. It takes lots of practice  be good on such a labor intense project to complete.I myself get a real good kit .I then scratch build the rest W/plastic sheet and spur.

Are you talking about the Elmers glue copy, or actual superglue adhesive?

Maybe a picture of a squirrel playing a harmonica will make you feel better?
