Jeremy built Lindberg’s 1/16 scale Wells Fargo Overland Concord Stagecoach as a Christmas present for his dad, who has an interest in objects of the period. He writes: “I used real leather to scratchbuild the rear boot, window straps, window shades, and leather luggage, and added scratchbuilt wood boxes on top. Different diameters of brass wire were soldered to make the brass buckles; the lamps on both sides were also scratchbuilt from styrene and brass wire. I lined the inside with brown leather and added a wood floor with a piece of scrapbooking card for the ceiling and lace around the top. I replaced the rifle with a new one by soldering different pieces of brass stock to make an octagon barrel and receiver; I also carved the butt stock and hand guard out of balsa and stained it with Minwax. The decals came with the kit, but I made the scene on both doors with decal paper from Testors. In all, it was a fun build taking more than 200 hours.”
